What are LITE-STRIPS?
LITE-STRIPS are 7 cm long water storage strips. The non-woven strips are mixed into the soil (between 2 and 10 % volume depending on the application). Up to 90% of the fleece volume can be filled with water and thus help plants through longer dry periods. In the case of green roofs, for example, the high water absorption capacity of the lightweight strips leads to a large weight advantage compared to conventional materials (e.g. clay balls/LECA).
What is LITE-NET?
LITE-NET is the water storage net that is a very good water and air conductor for aeration and irrigation of plant roots. The net, which are simply covered with soil and can be extended to 4 to 5 times their original size, can be pulled up to the surface in places. There, they absorb air and water in order to distribute it quickly and over a large area underground at the root level.
What is LITE-POT?
LITE-POT are 100% recycled fleece inlays for balcony boxes that store excess water like a sponge and release it back into the plants as needed. LITE-POT saves daily watering and simplifies the care of your plants. The recycled water storage fleece can be used several times and stores approx. 12 l/m2 of water. Ideally combined with LITE-STRIPS. Available in 2 sizes: LITE-POT M (4 pcs. 60 x 12.5 cm) and LITE-POT L (3 pcs. 100 x 12.5 cm)

What is HOLIDAY-BAG?
The HOLIDAY-BAG especially for balcony boxes combines the advantages of two products, the LITE-STRIPS and the LITE-POT. The HOLIDAY-BAG offers the possibility to store from below and at the roots. LITE-STRIPS are 100% sustainable, reusable water storage non-wovens in strip form for mixing into the soil. This means that the water reservoirs are located directly near the roots and not, for example, at the bottom of the flower pot. Plants can therefore access the water in the irrigation fleece much more easily and effectively.
10 l LITE-STRIPS store up to 9 l of water.
In addition, the LITE-POT fleece insert (60 x 12.5 cm) stores excess water like a sponge and releases it to the plants as required. The recycled fleece from recycling can be used several times and stores approx. 12 l/m2 water.

Why can LITE-SOIL products store so much water?
The raw material for all our products consists of 100% open air pores, i.e. air. These air pores are connected to each other and can therefore conduct water and air directly to the roots, as in the case of earthworms, and also store them there.
By cutting them into strips (LITE-STRIPS) or nets (LITE-NET), the water is directed to exactly where the plants need it most: To the roots!
So the precious water does not simply seep away somewhere in the soil or evaporate on the surface.
What does Bio1 mean?
Bio1 is made of 100% cellulose fibres, in simple terms wood. This decomposes completely biologically after about 1 season up to 2 years. It is therefore ideal for annual plants (flowers, tomatoes and other vegetable plants) or because you only want to support the plants in the growing phase.
What does Bio5 mean?
Bio5 consists of 70% PLA (polyactides) and 30% cellulose fibres. This is completely biodegradable or composted after about 5-10 years. So it is ideal for all kinds of plants, even perennial plants or because I want to reuse the Lite Strips or the Lite-Net in annual plants until it has decomposed.
