For green roofs, an important property of LITE-STRIPS and LITE-NET comes to the fore: their light weight.

As LITE-STRIPS consist of 90 % open, interconnected air voids, they can absorb about 8 times more water per kg than conventional products such as expanded clay (LECA). 

The LITE-NET as a rootable water reservoir makes it very easy to provide large areas of underground irrigation including aeration. The open and flexible shape of the net allows it to be installed at any depth, optimised for the choice of plants. The roots dock all around the fleece net and can therefore take out 100% of the water stored in the net (up to 10 l/m² depending on the variant) if required.

LITE-NET

Lay the LITE-NET water network PP 10.4 m² over the entire surface of a layer of soil and apply soil over it root-deep.

LITE-STRIPS

LITE-STRIPS Bio5 or LITE-STRIPS PP act as an additional water reservoir at root depth and loosen the soil. Mix an additional 0.5 – 1 l/m² of LITE-STRIPS per m² into the substrate.

Depending on the size of the area and biodegradability (Bio5) or permanent (PP), the following products are suitable:

LITE-STRIPS Bio5 2,5 l + LITE-STRIPS Bio 5 10 l

LITE-STRIPS PP 2,5 l + LITE-STRIPS PP 10 l

The 2.5 l bag is sufficient for up to 50 l soil, the 10 l box for up to 200 l soil.
