Trees, Shrubs & Bushes

Due to climate change, we need more trees as “air conditioners”. To develop their full effect, trees and shrubs must grow large and old. To do this, the roots need sufficient space and soil compaction must be kept to a minimum.

Trees and shrubs: The LITE-NET serves as an underground supply and distribution network for air & water. The LITE-NET growing net Bio1 (for root balls up to 60 cm in diameter) is simply wrapped around the root ball when planting new plants and incorporated. The LITE-NET absorbs air & water at the surface and efficiently directs it over a large area exactly where it is needed: to the tree roots.

Growing nets greatly reduce water consumption and are therefore also the ideal underground system supplement when using irrigation bags or watering edges.

The larger LITE-NET water nets with 2.1 or 10.4 m2 can be easily cut with standard scissors or wallpapering knives and can therefore be used for different applications.

PLANTING NEW TREES

As a starter aid for new tree plantings, LITE-NET Bio1 or LITE-NET water nets are simply wrapped around the root ball. Ideal for this is the

Likewise, depending on the size of the root ball or in the case of several trees, as well as the desired degradability of the net, are suitable:

WATERING NET

A LITE-NET watering net laid directly under the root ball, acting as a distribution net, collects, stores and distributes water to the roots. It can also be used to guide roots into and under paved areas, drain tree pits and increase the stability of the tree.

Depending on the size of the pits or if there are several trees, they are suitable:

LITE-STRIPS

As an additional water storage, 10-20 l LITE-STRIPS are mixed into the soil close to the roots.

The LITE-STRIPS increase the water storage capacity of the substrate and simultaneously aerify or aerate.

Simply mix about 10-20 l per pit into the soil near the root ball.
