We all feel it: the summers are getting hotter and it rains less and less. Not only do we suffer from this, but also our plants, because you can no longer keep up with the watering. Whether plants, trees or turf, everything dies and you have to buy expensive new ones.
And: The fewer plants, the more CO2 emissions, because the lack of biomass means that no CO2 is bound and thus CO2 emissions increase instead of decreasing. That means we need water-saving products that make our plants grow sustainably. That’s exactly what we do.
As a family business and parents of a daughter ourselves, it is very important to us to keep our planet earth worth living in in the future. Thomas, managing director, inventor and our “Daniel Gyro Gearbox” wanted his many years of experience in geotextiles for the environmental sector to also be used in gardening and landscaping Dorothea, a passionate hobby gardener and after years working in an international group, wanted to start her own business with a sustainable company.
With our specially tailored, patented and extremely water-saving strips (LITE-STRIPSand nets (LITE-NET) we want to make the world “greener” and make our contribution to climate protection.
The Corona crisis in particular shows how important products manufactured in Austria are and not “made in China”. LITE-SOIL products are exclusively manufactured in Austria.
We are also proud to have won several prizes with our company. In 2018 we were the only company to be nominated for the patent prize in the innovation category, in 2019 we were awarded the TÜV Science Prize and Dorothea received the ÖGUT “Women in Environmental Technology” prize.
