The LITE-NET Bio1 vegetation net is a capillary underground supply and distribution system with water and air for trees and shrubs. As a fully biodegradable (approx. 1 year-2 years) Bio1 vegetation net, it is simply wrapped around the root ball when planting a new tree or shrub. The LITE-NET absorbs water & air at the surface and guides it efficiently and over a large area exactly where it is needed: to the roots.

In this way, vegetation nets replace or supplement the conventional pipe systems - especially with a LITE-NET water network installed underneath. As the water does not run past the root ball but directly to the roots, wax-up nets reduce water consumption considerably and are therefore also the ideal underground system supplement for irrigation bags or watering edges.

In new tree plantations the LITE-NET is used as a vegetation net - directly around the root ball. There it absorbs air and water to distribute it quickly and extensively underground at the root level.

In a study conducted by the University of Natural Resources and Applied Life Sciences in Vienna, LITE-NET was found to have a greening effect that is approximately 50% higher than that of coconut mats due to its significantly higher water storage capacity.

Installation instructions

Lay the root ball on the net, wrap the net around the root ball and fix it.
Dig a tree pit Insert tree into pit.
Fill the pit, open the top of the net and cover it.

Vegetation net LITE-NET Bio1 is made of 100% cellulose fibres and is manufactured in Austria.
