Watering plants during absence
Many know the problem: vacations, business trips or longer absences from home; a vacation home, weekend house, a garden house where I don’t go so often. Who waters the plants? Read on for tips on watering plants while away!
When you go on vacation, you should prepare many things, such as what to bring, accommodation, transportation, etc. You will also have to organize the care of your houseplants. A lot to do but we will help you water your plants!
Especially on sunny days your plants need more water.
To prevent your plants from withering or dying, there is a solution: you could ask your neighbors, family members or friends to visit your home and water your plants. You would probably do that now. However, this takes time and a lot of organization. But what if you don’t find anyone to water your plants or you don’t want to ask anyone? There are several solutions, some more expensive and complex than others. We will tell you the simplest, most effective and cheapest solution: our water reservoirs. You will save water, time and money!
Our water storage systems are strips or nets of nonwovens, which are mixed into the soil near the roots. The geotextile is made of three different materials: Bio1, made of wood fibre, which lasts between 1 and 2 years; Bio5, made of PLA, which lasts between 5 and 10 years and PP (polypropylene), which is durable and reusable.
The reservoirs work like an irrigation system that does not require any technical installation.
